3 years before Martin Luther King marched in Washington, D.C. a man name Carl Spain challenged ACU for its racism. His message demonstrates the cost and challenge of speaking for a message that is not politically correct and it shows how everyone is impacted by their social environment to some extent. The message is also significant due to the history of Churches of Christ and the intersection of the question of race.
